Custom Landscape for Muirfield Views Residence — Columbus, OH

For this project, the existing house on the property was removed to make way for a new home and landscape, resulting in a complete reconfiguration of the site. The clients wanted an impressive, classically inspired entrance that matched the detailed architecture of the residence, while the backyard was intentionally kept understated to highlight the perfectly manicured views of the Muirfield golf course.

Site Regrading & Retaining Walls: Installed large retaining walls to integrate the home into the sloped terrain while creating functional circulation routes around the property.
Front Arrival Experience: Used clay brick for the driveway and full-color bluestone for the auto court, establishing an elegant, traditional entry that complements the home’s architecture.
Patios & Walkways: Installed full-color bluestone for patios and walkways with a matching brick border. All hardscape elements were mortared for long-term durability and a polished finish.
Backyard Design: Kept the rear landscape understated to draw the eye toward the sweeping golf course views.
Planting Strategy: Used larger plant material at installation for immediate impact. The front plantings are formal and symmetrical, while the side plantings were designed to soften the scale of the home and the large retaining walls.
